Where Is The Best Place To Buy A Cheap Designer Handbag

By Joanne Marston

I've spent many long hours searching charity shops after reading about countless celebrities claiming to have purchased a 'vintage gucci handbag' from Oxfam at the cost of a bottle of wine. The only thing I have ever found resembling a designer handbag was a Louis Vuitton clutch bag which upon close inspection was actually made in china and the LV logo painted all over the bag actually said 1V! Needless to say I did not buy it as it would probably have been a lot cheaper off a market stall!
Following my failed attempts at charity shops, I tried car boot sales, Jumble sales, Flea Markets and Garage sales but I was still minus my designer handbag!

I kept hearing that in America they have the latest releases at half the cost of bags in the United Kingdom. I then visited American Ebay and found that it was true, you could in fact by designer handbags at half the cost. It was not just designer bags that were cheap but also designer sunglasses (my other weakness!). I bought the latest Roberto Cavalli Sunglasses for $200, which is about 100! In the United Kingdom Shops they are selling at 200! Double the price! I also bought a Birkin bag for $1100, this is about 550! If by some small chance you can actually get your hands on a Birkin bag then you are faced with a 2 year wait! Now some people may not mind waiting 2 years but I do! When I ordered my bag from the states it arrived after 6 days!

Throughout the early 20th century, practically all high fashion originated in Paris, and to a lesser extent London. Fashion magazines from other countries sent editors to the Paris fashion shows. Department stores sent buyers to the Paris shows, where they purchased garments to copy and openly stole the style lines and trim details of others. Both made-to-measure salons, and ready-to-wear departments, featured the latest Paris trends, and adapted to the stores' assumptions about the lifestyles and pocket books of their targeted customers. At this time in fashion history the division between haute couture and ready-to-wear was not sharply defined. The two separate modes of production were still far from being competitors, and, indeed, they often co-existed in houses where the seamstresses moved freely between made-to-measure and ready-made.

Fashion Alert: How to wear color. Color Crazy Chic Gone Vivid

How to Wear Color - Add a pop of bright to your wardrobe without the fright. Dear Sharon: I’m seeing bright colors all over the place—it’s not the same shades that I’m used to expect in clothing colors, but rather bold and daring vivid hues. I like to experiment with fashion but I’m very afraid that if I don’t wear this color trend the right way I may just end up looking like one of those wacky ladies with the way overdrawn red lips, purple pantsuit, and a cat on a lavender leash-- you know who I mean! Help me figure out how to stylishly add color to my wardrobe without looking over the top. -- Hue Do Something to Me (Greensboro-High Point, NC)
